Repeal the coalition government’s workplace safety reforms

Labour workplace safety spokeswoman Jan Tinetti said in an interview in July that her party will repeal the coalition government’s Health and Safety at Work Amendment Bill if elected.

Tinetti said the reforms were a backward step that took workplace safety back to where it was after the 2010 Pike River mine explosion, in which 29 people died.

“We’re heading for another disaster and surely that’s got to be of huge concern to everyone.”
