Luckie v Police [2025] NZHC 3340 per Johnstone J

In October 2023, Michael Luckie was hit in the head by the passenger seat of a house bus. Luckie, who had a pre-existing head injury, was inspecting the area under the seat with the assistance of his partner, who was holding the seat.

After the seat struck his head, Luckie left the bus, walked about, and then told his partner, “You deserve a kick in the c**t”.
