A parliamentary select committee has largely backed changes aimed at streamlining compulsory acquisition of property for critical infrastructure projects, although the Greens believe the reforms should not go ahead.
A majority of the Transport and Infrastructure Select Committee recommended that the Public Works (Critical Infrastructure) Amendment Bill proceed with amendments, some of which partially address concerns aired by experts in LawNews last month.
