Global survey finds lack of transparency among law firms when pricing AI-generated work

Seventy-nine percent of law firms globally are actively using AI tools but 58% are not passing on the “substantial” cost savings to their clients. In fact, 34% are charging clients more for AI-assisted work, although it is reducing their billable hours, while only 6% are charging less.

This is the main finding of a survey of 600 senior legal leaders by Axiom, a legal services provider. Survey respondents came from eight countries – Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and USA – and work across 31 industries and 16 practice areas.
