Former financial advisor David McEwen has pleaded guilty to breaching a stop order imposed by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) after it found he was linked to false or misleading offers.
The FMA filed criminal charges last year against McEwen, who is also an ex-business journalist, for continuing to offer financial products and take contributions despite the stop order.
