ANZ Australia – the parent company of ANZ New Zealand – has announced plans to axe 4500 jobs between now and September next year.

The move comes three months after CEO Nuno Matos took the reins, replacing long-time chief executive Shayne Elliott.  All up, 3500 employees and 1000 contractors will lose their jobs.
