Aron Greeks and his former partner, A, had been in a relationship for 17 years and had three children together.

In February 2022, A obtained a protection order against Greeks, prohibiting him from engaging in “behaviour that amounts to any form of family violence against [A] (whether physical abuse, sexual abuse or psychological abuse).”
