A law change that prevents high income earners from lodging unfair dismissal claims will not take effect until next year to help transition to the new regime, Workplace Relations Minister Brooke van Velden says.
The change, which applies to employees earning more than $180,000, is among a raft of amendments to the Employment Relations Act 2000 that van Velden plans to guide through Parliament this year as part of a major shake-up of New Zealand workplaces.
